Luna is a CCAA All-Academic and one of 10 women who were semifinalists for the prestigious Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar of the Year in 2020, the first-ever Cal State San Bernardino student to be so named.
Shawn Chin-Farrell, CSUSB’s director of athletics, will appear live on The Bruce Cook Conversation, AM 830 KLAA, home of the Anaheim Angels, Ducks and Raiders, on Sunday, Dec. 20, at 6:30 p.m. PT.
Athletes bringing awareness to social issues will be the focus of a talk by Rafik Mohamed, dean of CSUSB’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and sportswriter Tim Brown. The program will be presented on Zoom at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18.

In recognition of winning the NCAA Division II National Championship, California Assembly and Senate on March 9 honored the CSUSB Coyotes volleyball team in Sacramento.
The CSUSB Coyote volleyball team, which captured the NCAA Division II National Championship in December, the university’s first national title, was honored during a block party on campus on Feb. 28.
The team received a standing ovation as San Bernardino Mayor John Valdivia praised the team for their winning the 2019 NCAA Division II national championship.
