Before transferring to CSUSB, Felipe was a member of the Associated Students of College of the Desert, where he spoke to the board about the art initiatives taking place at the Walter N. Marks Center for the Arts. As a student worker involved with the arts, he had the opportunity to assist local artists and individuals coming from as far a Brooklyn, NY. Those experiences helped him understand the importance of creativity & how the arts are honest portrayals of the human experience. Outside of school life, he has been employed with various resorts across the valley, embodying the hospitable environment that people can find themselves in. His free time is spent cycling across the valley & organizing a soccer organization he created called Sin Raza. Felipe is happy to be joining ASI and is excited for what’s to come.
