The third annual Educational Leadership Summit, presented by Cal State San Bernardino’s James R. Watson & Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education, will take place Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Santos Manuel Student Union North.
Online registration, which is free, for the summit, “Innovative Practices in Education,” is currently open on its Eventbrite webpage. The summit, sponsored by SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, will take place from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the university’s Santos Manuel Student Union North Conference Center.
The summit offers education professionals the opportunity to engage with experts and thought education leaders, and explore cutting-edge ideas and trends shaping education’s future. Participants will be able to connect with like-minded professionals and potential partners from school districts, universities and other institutions. Through thought-provoking talks, engaging panel discussions and interactive workshops, you will gain valuable insights and perspectives on the latest advancements in education and educational leadership.
The summit will feature three keynote speakers:
- Ali Powell, vice present of the Azure Infrastructure and Digital & Application Innovation Solution Areas for Microsoft, will present the first keynote, “Innovative Technology Practices that Have Changed Education”
- Rhea McIver Gibbs, lead strategic agent at the Rialto Unified School District, will present the second keynote, “Innovative Practices in Teacher Recruitment: The Rialto USD Grow-Your-Own Model”
- Ann Marie Sakrekoff, interim president and CEO of Growing Inland Achievement (GIA), will present the third keynote, “The State of Education in the Inland Empire”
Also during the summit, there will be opportunities for discussions and networking, a session on “Innovative Practices in STEM Education – K-12 Students’ Demonstration Walk-through,” and a panel discussion on “Parents’ Expectations of Highly Effective School Site Administrators.” And Alexis McCall-Gayle, a representative of SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, will share a presentation on the credit union.
