The Kids Discover Egypt Workshop (KDEW) will return to CSUSB’s Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA) this July. The workshop, back in person for the first time since 2019, will be conducted over two three-day sessions: the first from July 16-18 and the second from July 23-25. Activities run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day at RAFFMA.

The workshop, offering an immersive and educational exploration into the wonders of ancient Egypt, is designed for children ages 6-13 years. It will be limited to 20 participants per session to ensure a personalized and engaging experience.

Registration for the workshop is open from May 10-24, with a participation fee of $65. Financial aid is available to assist families in need. Due to the popularity of the program and limited availability, early registration is strongly recommended to ensure a spot for your child.

KDEW provides a rich program filled with interactive crafts and activities that explore the history of ancient Egypt, such as creating Canopic Jars, participating in an archeological dig, and more. Mid-day a delicious lunch will be provided, and additional time will be made for small group and individual activities. The event will be led by Erika Kelley, supported by RAFFMA staff, student assistants and trained docents, ensuring a rich and supportive learning environment.
