The John M. Pfau Library at Cal State San Bernardino will hold a chess tournament for players of all skill levels on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Two free movie nights, presented by the John M. Pfau Library and the Associated Students Inc., are set for July 11 and Aug. 8 on the library lawn. And the popcorn is free!

Feb. 8: Minxin Pei will present “The Origins and Dynamics of Crony Capitalism in China: Insights from 260 Cases of Collusive Corruption.”

The program includes an April 19 screening of the film based on the novel, an April 26 Yotie Talk, and, on April 28, a final student discussion.

The Free Summer Movie Series at Cal State San Bernardino concludes on Thursday, Aug. 24, with the screening of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”

The center, which formally opened with a ribbon-cutting event Sept. 12 in the John M. Pfau Library (wedge and room PL-1104), provides services that include training and development workshops, career track series, resume reviews and mock interviews.
