Nearly 85 alumni shared their professional and life lessons with students as part of the annual CSUSB Alumni Professor for a Day Program this year.
Kathie Pelletier, a professor of management who has taught at Cal State San Bernardino since 2008, has been named the recipient of the 2017-18 Golden Apple Award, the university’s highest award for teaching.
Teams will combine their knowledge and ideas to solve real problems during the main event on May 23, from 5:30-10 p.m., at the CSUSB Visual Arts Building patio and Room 101.
Rocio Gomez, now the Latino Heritage Intern at the Manzanar National Historic Site, will share her research beginning at 2 p.m. in the John M. Pfau Library, PL-4005.

The university will surpass 100,000 graduates during its five commencement ceremonies on Thursday and Saturday, June 14 and 16, when more than 3,500 students are expected to participate.
Four ceremonies for the university’s five academic colleges will take place beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The Palm Desert Campus held its commencement on June 14.
New CSUSB alumnus Rafael Alamilla, incoming faculty member Christopher Hill, and professor Terry Rizzo have received national honors from the American Kinesiology Association in 2017-18.
