CSUSB will participate in the annual drill that simulates a major earthquake, encouraging students, faculty and staff to “Drop, Cover and Hold On.” Also as part of the day, the Department of Geological Sciences and College of Natural Sciences will host an informational fair on earthquake safety and preparedness.

Lacey Kendall (communication studies lecturer) will serve as host of Growing Inland Achievement’s summit today and Wednesday in Riverside, Treasure Ortiz (public administration lecturer) is on the Nov. 5 ballot for the San Bernardino City Council’s Ward 7, and Alex Lara (education lecturer) also is on the ballot, running for re-election for the Redlands Unified School District’s Board of Trustees’ Area 4.

Juan Sibrian has been named the recipient of a CSU Trustees' Award for Outstanding Achievement, the CSU’s highest recognition of student success, for 2024-25. He, along with other CSU scholarship recipients, will be honored at the Tuesday, Sept. 24, Board of Trustees meeting.
