The Palm Desert High School team scored 44 out of 50, just shy of its 46 out of 50 winning score from last year, which was the highest score in the history of this local competition.

State assemblymen Chad Mayes and Eduardo Garcia, who stewarded the request for direct funding to the campus last spring, formally presented the state’s $3 million commitment to the campus during a ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

CSUSB’s Palm Desert Campus experienced a significant milestone in fall 2013 when it first began offering four-year degrees. In June 2017, a number of them became the first four-year students to graduate from PDC.

The University Legacy Scholarship is offered to the valley’s best and brightest. Completed applications for the 2018-19 academic year must be received or postmarked by March 2, and are to include transcripts and letters of recommendation.
