CSUSB is offering various free bus transportation options throughout the Inland Empire, High Desert and Coachella Valley to its students, faculty and staff.
Kelly Campbell (psychology), Brian Levin (criminal justice), Diane Vines (nursing), Tony Coulson (information and decision sciences) and Anthony Silard (public administration) were included in recent news coverage.
The gift will be used to improve access to healthcare in the Coachella Valley for traditionally underserved populations, increase mobile medical clinics, improve health-related infrastructure and strengthen engagement of nurses and nursing students with the homeless, unsheltered and vulnerable populations.
Kevin Grisham (geography and environmental studies), Anthony Silard (public administration), David Yaghoubian (history), Diane Vines (nursing) and Vipin Gupta (management) shared their expertise on various topics in the news.
The program has been selected as one of six community partners who will have the opportunity to utilize the mobile unit for medical and educational purposes, which will be purchased by The Desert Healthcare District and Foundation.
Avi Rodriguez, Oscar Fonseca and Jazmin Vera created the University Alumni of the Coachella Valley to connect Palm Desert Campus students with those who have graduated from both a high school in the Coachella Valley and an accredited university.
University President Tomás D. Morales and Palm Desert Campus Dean Jake Zhu participated in the program, “Destination Talent Coachella Valley – The New Realities in Higher Education,” hosted by OneFuture Coachella Valley and the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The program was originally livestreamed Jan. 25.
University President Tomás D. Morales and Palm Desert Campus Dean Jake Zhu will participate in the program, which takes place virtually at 11:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25.
Zoom information sessions will be held on Jan. 21, Feb. 25 and March 25. The program will run from May 3-Oct. 29.
