Sodexo's sustainability coordinator Luis Martinez was among recent grant recipients for the company's Stop Hunger Foundation. Martinez donated the $1,000 grant money to the university's Obershaw DEN food pantry.

CSUSB continues its tradition of volunteering in the community and helping others when the campus community participates in the seventh annual Coyote Cares Day on Saturday, April 13, as part of National Volunteer Week.

CSUSB student volunteers were shuttled in 10 school buses and 10 vans to locations throughout the area to help community organizations and nonprofit agencies, schools and parks do repairs, pack supplies and take care of other needs.

The Coyote Basic Needs initiative at CSUSB is part of the California State University (CSU) system-wide Basic Needs Initiative, which launched in 2016 to support students’ well-being.
