The donation came courtesy of family, friends and CSUSB colleagues of C.E. “Tapie” Rohm, professor emeritus of information and decision sciences.
Lunch, music, games and prizes highlighted CSUSB’s second annual Employee Appreciation Picnic on the Pfau Library lawn. And the Obershaw DEN, the university food pantry for students in need, was the big winner of the day.
To honor National Voter Registration Day, Cal State San Bernardino will be registering voters at its San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses today, Tuesday, Sept 26.
The Den Food Pantry will take on a new look and new name – the Obershaw DEN Food Pantry – at a ribbon-cutting ceremony 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, thanks to the generosity of Charles and Shelby Obershaw.
The ceremony, held in the courtyard of the university’s Faculty Office Building, celebrated the new Obershaw DEN Food Pantry and recognized the Obershaws, longtime friends and donors of the university.

A photo exhibition and lecture by photographer, lawyer, community activist and spouse of a veteran, Jo Arlow, will kick off the Office of Community Engagement’s Ethics Lecture Series on Monday, Oct. 16.
The Inland Empire chapter of the Public Relations Society will honor CSUSB’s Coyote Advertising team and fall 2016 Communication Studies 243 students at the IE Polaris Awards banquet for their work to benefit the Obershaw DEN in 2016.
