
The 12th annual Pioneer Breakfast celebrated community members, campus partners and student scholarship recipients on Feb. 28. Organized by the Black Faculty, Staff and Student Association, the event remains a key highlight of CSUSB’s Black History Month festivities.

The 12th annual Pioneer Breakfast will take place on Friday, Feb. 28, from 9-11 a.m., celebrating the remarkable contributions of African Americans who have profoundly impacted CSUSB.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service, CSUSB faculty, staff and students volunteered at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission and Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino, giving back to the community and helping local families in need.

The Office of Pre-College Programs celebrated a record-breaking turnout at its Career Day event with over 100 participants. Since its inception, the event has helped paraprofessionals and student staff transform their work experience into marketable career skills.

CSUSB’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, in collaboration with University Police Department and the Student Health Center, recently concluded the Annual Toy Drive, bringing in $7,000-$8,000 worth of toys – enough to fill a classroom. The toys were delivered to local nonprofit, Partners Against Violence.

The College of Natural Sciences welcomed more than 40 students from regional community colleges to CSUSB for its Community College Discovery Science Fair, an event designed to inspire and empower students pursuing careers in STEM and allied health fields.

Approximately 300 prospective students explored CSUSB’s doctorate, master’s and credential programs at the annual Graduate School Fair.

Organized by students in the Advanced Entertainment Marketing Planning and Strategy class within the Department of Marketing, the Dec. 6 Coyote Comedy Fest not only showcased a lineup of talented comedians but also provided a hands-on learning opportunity for the students. Proceeds from the event will go toward student scholarships.

The CSUSB Chamber Singers will perform “Home Alone in Concert” alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Dec. 21 and 22. Tickets are available now.
