Being admitted to Cal State San Bernardino is an exciting milestone—but it’s just the beginning of your journey. Once you receive your admission offer, there are important steps to take to secure your place at CSUSB and get ready for your first day.

Once you’ve been admitted, the first step is to accept your offer of admission and activate your myCoyote account—this is your student portal, and you’ll use it for everything from checking your financial aid to registering for classes and accessing your student email.
The sooner you apply, the more opportunities you’ll have for grants, scholarships and other financial aid. Be sure to complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application by the priority deadline to be considered for the most funding.
Starting at a new campus doesn’t mean starting alone. Nearpeer is an online platform that helps you meet other newly admitted transfer students who share your interests, goals, and background.
Your Student Center in myCoyote will show important items you need to complete, like submitting documents or clearing holds. Staying on top of this list keeps your admission and enrollment on track.
Orientation is where you’ll meet your fellow Coyotes, get familiar with campus, and get ready for a strong start. This is a required step, and one of the most exciting parts of becoming a CSUSB student.
You’ll need to submit transcripts, test scores (if required), and any other documents listed in your To-Do List (located in your myCoyote account). The faster you submit, the sooner you can move forward with advising, class registration and more.
