In a column on a lifestyle news website, Kelly Campbell, CSUSB associate professor of psychology and nationally recognized expert on relationships, wrote: “It's difficult to admit that a relationship that started out great and with so much promise has turned into something bad. When we enter a relationship, we’re often wearing rose-colored glasses, focusing on all our partner’s good qualities and ignoring their faults. That’s why our family and friends are typically better at predicting the outcome of our relationships than we are.”

CSUSB professor among speakers at Aspen Institute symposium on race in AmericaKFMB (San Diego)/Other news sites nationallyMay 8, 2018

Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino, will be one of the speakers at The Aspen Institute Symposium on the State of Race in America on May 24 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.

The symposium, presented with Comcast NBCUniversal, is intended to explore new attitudes, opportunities, and challenges for and about people of color in 21st century America. Public discussions will explore two main themes: racial hate speech and the first amendment, and whether political candidates rely too much, or not enough, on people of color in building their platform and campaigns.
