
Javier Torner, director of Information Security & Emerging Technologies at Cal State San Bernardino, was recognized as an outstanding contributor in technology at the Cal State 2019 Tech Conference on July 30 in San Diego.

The period to nominate the best and outstanding entrepreneurs and cutting-edge businesses of Inland Southern California for the 2019 Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards will close on Thursday, Aug. 1.

Ethan Mink won the award as part of KVCR TV 24’s team that produced “Vietnam Speaks.” He served as a researcher for the program.

Nearly 50 honors or scholarships were presented, many with multiple recipients, during the June 10 event at the Santos Manuel Student Union.

Cal State San Bernardino’s Coyote Advertising and design students took home 41 awards from the American Advertising Federation Inland Empire Chapter’s recent gala honoring the top advertising created in the region in 2016.

This year’s competition, presented by the CSUSB Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE), will be held Monday, Nov. 6, from 5-9 p.m. at the Esri Conference Center, 380 New York St., Redlands.

The region’s top business leaders were recognized at the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship’s annual Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards banquet on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Riverside Convention Center.

Lane Shefter Bishop is not only a communication studies professor at CSUSB, she’s also an award-winning producer and director of an Emmy, six Telly Awards, three Communicator Awards, a Sherril C. Corwin Award, and a host of others.
