The celebration, which is free and open to the public, will be held on the CSUSB Coyote Bookstore lawn on Friday, Oct. 12, at 11:30 a.m.
A photo exhibition and lecture by photographer, lawyer, community activist and spouse of a veteran, Jo Arlow, will kick off the Office of Community Engagement’s Ethics Lecture Series on Monday, Oct. 16.
Cal State San Bernardino continues its recognition as a top school for men and women of the military service, ranking at No. 15 in the Military Times Best: Colleges 2018 list for four-year universities.
The university is among the nation’s best institutions serving military and veteran students in the large universities category, and the only one ranked that high in the state.
While supplies last, the Veterans Success Center will exchange old flags with new 3-foot by 5-foot flags before the summer break in June of each year.
The CSUSB ceremony takes place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday on the John M. Pfau Library lawn. The Palm Desert Campus ceremony will be at 3 p.m. at the Palm Desert Health Sciences Building patio.
Students, faculty and staff at Cal State San Bernardino remembered the sacrifice of the nation’s military when it held its annual Memorial Day ceremony on an overcast Wednesday morning.
Cal State San Bernardino and its Palm Desert Campus will be closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day. Both campuses will reopen on Tuesday, May 29.
The celebration on Friday, June 8, will be hosted by the university’s Veterans Success Center, and will take place in the Obershaw Dining Room in the Upper Commons.
