1. Complete the Welcome Back Form (Preferred Option)

The Welcome Back Form is a simplified application designed to help streamline the process for returning students. Completing the Welcome Back Form eliminates the need to submit a full Cal State Apply application.

2. Activate Your MyCoyote and Accept Your Admissions

Welcome back to the Pack! You’ve worked hard, and we’re excited to have you rejoin the pack. To move forward, log in to your myCoyote portal and select “Accept” to
confirm your admission. There’s no fee to accept, and it lets us know you're ready to return to CSUSB.

Set Up Your DUO Mobile App

To protect your account and confidential information, all CSUSB students are required to use DUO Mobile for two-factor authentication. This app adds an extra layer of security to your MyCoyote account.

2b. Meet with Advising: Returning Students on Academic Notice

If your GPA is below the required threshold, whether you're a returning student or a returning transfer student, you’ll need to meet with an academic advisor to create a plan for success.

Please call the ASUA Academic Advising Office at (909) 537-7345 to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment. Once we receive confirmation that you’ve met with an
advisor, you’ll be able to move forward in your re-admission process.

3. Financial Aid & Scholarships

5. Attend Orientation and Register for Classes

Once your application or Welcome Back Form (WBF) is approved, you’ll be invited to attend a Returning Student Orientation are offered both in person and virtually, so you can choose what works best for you. At Orientation, you’ll reconnect with campus, explore helpful resources, and feel confident about your return.

Bonus: After Orientation, you’ll meet with an academic advisor and register for your classes the same day!
