Staff Development Center (SDC) - PL-1104, 1st Floor of Library Wedge
The Staff Development Center at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) officially opened its doors on September 12, 2017 as a result of CSUSB’s Strategic Plan, Goal #2 – Faculty & Staff Success: foster innovation, scholarship, and discovery for faculty and staff success.
The purpose of the Staff Development Center focuses on staff success at CSUSB by increasing training opportunities for staff in the areas of job-specific and technical training, diversity and inclusion workshops, professional and personal sessions, and career discussions including a resource for job-seeking staff regarding their resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation.
Staff Enrichment Center (SEC) - Room 107, Adjacent to the Alumni Center
Exactly seven years after the successful opening of the SDC, we were thrilled to expand our footprint and hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 12, 2024 to mark the grand opening of the new Staff Enrichment Center (SEC), a space dedicated to fostering the professional development and well-being of university staff. The SEC is a key initiative of CSUSB’s Strategic Plan, Goal #2 – Faculty & Staff Success, which emphasizes employee development and well-being. The SEC complements the work of our team by implementing programming that supports dimensions of wellness, specifically mental health, financial, physical, and social well-being, and a vehicle for connecting staff for academic/scholastic resources. More than just a building, the SEC is a welcoming hub for staff to engage with one another and obtain resources to support their wellbeing.
