The CSU funds a Nonindustrial Disability Insurance (NDI) plan for a maximum of 26 weeks. This benefit is available to eligible employees who are unable to work because of a non-work-related disability (including maternity).
- There is a 7-day waiting period unless hospitalized.
This plan is in lieu of State Disability Insurance (SDI) benefits and it is administered by the California Employee Development Department (EDD).
